2004Main research interest is neuropsychological, cognitive and emotional aspects of eating disorders. Current research includes new treatment strategies and cultural similarities and differences in illness perception and expression. Developing new clinical pathways for the patients with mental health conditions. Developing evidence based new treatment approaches.
I am working in the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience for last 23 years. My main focus since I permanently moved to London is Eating disorders and Autism spectrum disorders in women. My broad areas of research and clinical interest is women's mental health (WMH). I am leading WMH module in one of the largest MSc programmes in the IOPPN King's College London.
I have leading role in the South London and Maudsley NHS foundation Trust as a cosultant Clinical psychologist in National Adult eating sidorder national service.
In my academic job I lead group of PhD students, research assistents and postdoctoral researchers focusing on areas of neuropsychology, brain imaging and clinical-experimental studies in eating disorders.
In my clinical role I supervise and lead big team of Clinical and councelling psychologists and therapists and supervise DClin psychology trainees.
